Primary baths, and the additions that carry them.
Remodelling inside an existing footprint and adding a suite to the house are two different projects. The finishes look alike. Almost nothing underneath them does.

Remodel or addition
Where the footprint ends.
Most bathroom transformations take four to eight weeks. A remodel that stays inside the existing walls sits at the shorter end of that: the room is stripped, the plumbing and electrical are reworked within the space that already exists, and the time is spent on waterproofing and finish work.
A full primary suite addition takes longer, and the reason is not the tiling. It is the structural work and the foundation requirements underneath. New square footage needs footings, framing that ties into the existing structure, and a roof line that reads as though it was always there. Drainage has to reach an existing stack, which sometimes means running below a slab rather than through a wall. Each of those is engineered, permitted and inspected before a single finish is ordered.
The decision between the two is usually made for you by the house. Where there is a closet, a hallway or an underused bedroom adjacent, we can often get a genuine primary suite without adding a square foot. Where there is not, an addition is the honest answer, and we would rather tell you that at the design stage than discover it after demolition.
Structure before surface
Footings, framing and the tie-in to the existing roof are resolved and engineered before any material selection begins.
It should not read as new
Rooflines, exterior finishes and interior trim are matched so the addition looks original to the house rather than attached to it.
One team across the seam
An addition is where a split team costs you most. The architect draws it, an engineer sizes it, a framer builds it and a finish crew fits it out, and the seams between those four are where the schedule and the budget leak. We hold all of it, which means the structural drawing and the tile layout are decided by people who are in the same conversation.

- Material continuity is specified so the new space feels original to the home.
- Fixed-cost proposals, so a structural surprise is our problem to have planned for.
The part you never see
Everything behind the tile.
A bathroom is the most technical room in a house, and almost all of the technique is buried. Behind every tile is a moisture-resistant backing and a waterproofing system, and the quality of that layer decides whether the room is still sound in fifteen years or is quietly wetting a joist.
Before any tile goes down, shower pans are flood tested. The pan is sealed, filled and left, and if it holds it passes. It is a slow, unglamorous step and it is the single most reliable way to find a failure while it is still cheap to fix. Sealing at every change of plane follows the same logic: the corners and the transitions are where water finds its way, not the middle of a wall.
The finishes are chosen against the same environment. Natural stone, porcelain and solid brass fixtures are specified because they survive constant humidity and daily use, and during design we walk you through what each one will look like after a decade rather than on the day it is installed.
Flood tested, not assumed
Every shower pan is filled and held before tiling, so a failure is found while the floor is still open.
Specified for humidity
Stone, porcelain and solid brass are chosen for how they behave in a wet room over years, not for how they photograph new.
Technical responsibility, in writing
We treat waterproofing and plumbing as the part of the job we are most accountable for, because it is the part you cannot inspect yourself once it is closed. We stand behind the work after completion, which is only a meaningful promise if the same company did the design, the build and the sealing.

- Rigorous flood testing of shower pans before finishes are installed.
- A single team accountable from the initial layout through to the final seal.

How long does a typical bathroom remodel or addition take?
Most bathroom transformations take between 4 to 8 weeks, depending on the scale. A full primary suite addition may take longer due to structural work and foundation requirements, while a standard remodel within an existing footprint is often on the shorter end of that window.
How do you handle waterproofing and moisture prevention?
We use industry-leading waterproofing systems and moisture-resistant backing materials behind every tile. Our construction process includes rigorous flood testing of shower pans and precise sealing to ensure your luxury finishes are protected from leaks and mold for the long term.
What kind of finishes and materials do you recommend?
We prioritize high-performance materials like natural stone, porcelain, and solid brass fixtures. During the design phase, we guide you toward selections that not only match your aesthetic but are also durable enough to withstand the humidity and daily use of a bathroom environment.
